The Slime
Materials :
Plastic glasses, a spoon, ultraviolet light, graduated cylinder, borax, polyvinyl alcohol, coloring substances and quinina.
Observations :
-The slime is elastic and slimy.
-It takes the shape of the glass.
-It takes a few minutes for to fit perfectly the glass.
-It becomes glowing and it diffuses ultraviolet light.
-The slime has more characteristics of a liquid than a solid.
Experiment:
We mix borax, polyvinyl alcohol and colorant in three tubes. In the fourth, we mix quinina, polyvinyl alcohol and borax.
The colorants are : eosin, fluorescein and methylene blue.
Conclusion :
The slime diffuses another source's light as a consequence, it's a secondary source.
It is a liquid.
