Love Letter (a poem for the 5e)

Here is the text of the poem:

I sent Susan a letter
Saying how I feel
I told her that I love her,
And that my love was
real,
I said that if she loves me,
She only has to say:
But she sent me back my

Homework for January : A letter

You are an immigrant. You come from Europe and you have just arrived in New York City. Write a letter that describes your life on this side of the Atlantic. You can use the questions below to help you :
  • where are you from ?
  • What was the trip like ?
  • what did you find in New York ?
  • Do you have a job ?
  • What are your first impressions on New York ?
  • Have you met with family ? friends ?
  • What was Ellis Island like ?

This letter is for your family, so DO NOT introduce yourself, just talk about your experience. (around 150 words)

Réussir son oral !

A partir des notes rédigées en classe vous devrez présenter l'évènement décrit. Pour cela il faudra repsecter quelques règles :
  1. évitez de lire vos notes. Soyons honnêtes, c'est ennuyeux et peu naturel de regarder quelqu'un qui lit un papier sans regarder les autres.
  2. Attention aux dates : l'espression est On the sixth of December...  ou   On December The sixth
  3. écoutez le cd du manuel pour être sûrs de la prononciation des mots / adjectifs / verbes au prétérit que vous utliserez.
  4. Faites le texte au passé. Attention à la cohérence.

Voilà si ces points sont respectés la bonne note est assurée !

Penfriends / correspondants

Voici une (petite) sélection de sites sur lesquels vous trouverez les marches à suivre pour trouver des correspondants. Je n'ai pas testé ces sites, mais j'ai retenu les plus sérieux.

  • International penfriends http://www.ipfpenfriends.com/        (attention ce site est payant !)
  • Anglais Facile propose une base de correspondants anglophones. Vous devrez vous inscrire sur le site afin de contacter les membres.
  • Polyglot : plus généraliste, plus ouvert sur le monde et les langues, plus variés dans les âges. Le mieux achalandé mais peut-être le moins adapté au niveau du public

Je continuerai de mettre la liste à jour au fur et à mesure de mes recherches.
